Become an Apprentice

Learn the trade. Get paid. Get licensed.

Train under a licensed master barber at a real shop, earn a progressive wage as you go, and complete related instruction through our digital classroom — all building toward your Michigan license and a federally registered credential.

  • 16+ with a high school diploma or GED

Host an Apprentice

Grow your shop's talent. We handle the paperwork.

Barcos manages related instruction, federal registration, and progress tracking, so you can focus on training. Many host shops also qualify for wage reimbursement through WIOA On-the-Job Training funds.

Every Skill, Verified & Stackable

As you complete each competency, we issue a verified digital microcredential — a portable, shareable badge that proves exactly what you can do, backed by a verified credentialing record.

Unlike a single diploma at the end, these credentials stack: each one builds toward your full license and can be shared on LinkedIn or a resume the moment you earn it — so your progress is provable to employers long before graduation day.
