Gift Acceptance Policy
Fund Consolidation Clause
Designated Fund Consolidation and Redirection

Barcos Foundation reserves the right to periodically consolidate, rename, or restructure its designated giving categories to improve program clarity and reporting accuracy. In the event a donor's contribution was made to a designated fund that is later consolidated into a broader category, the gift will continue to be used consistently with the donor's original charitable intent, applied to the most closely related active fund or program area.

If a specific designated fund is retired and its stated purpose is no longer active, Barcos Foundation will make reasonable efforts to notify affected donors and, where practical, offer the option to redirect their gift to a fund of their choosing. Absent a specific donor response within 60 days of notice, remaining balances will be applied to the General Fund or to the program area most consistent with the original designation, at the Foundation's discretion.

This provision does not apply to gifts made subject to a signed, written restriction agreement, which will be honored according to their specific terms.
